1. IELTS FAQ's

Ans: IELTS is a global-standard test of English language proficiency for non-native English speakers.

Ans: A Candidate must be at least 16 years old to apply for IELTS exam.

Ans: IDP & British Council conduct IELTS exam on 48 fixed dates in a year, i.e. up to four times a month.

Ans: IELTS Exam’s Score Card (TRF) is valid for 2 years.

Ans: In that case, you will be marked as absentee and exam fees will not be refunded.

Ans: A Candidate can apply for re- evaluation on his/her Result, at test center not later than six weeks of the test date. Candidate must pay re-evaluation fee, which will be refunded if your band score changes to higher band score after re-evaluation. The chances of change in scores after re-evaluation are negligible as the IELTS testing process has a very high standard of control procedures.

2. PTE FAQ's

Ans: PTE is used to assess and validate the English language usage of non-native English speakers.

Ans: Both PTE and IELTS are English proficiency tests, required to be taken by all international students. Both the exams have similar sections: speaking, reading, writing and listening. PTE is a computer-based test whereas IELTS is written on paper. IELTS grades are on a scale of 0 to 9, whereas PTE grades are on a scale of 10 to 90.

Ans: It is conducted by Pearson Group. PTE Exam has reading, listening, speaking and writing sections. All sections are interconnected and conducted on a computer, and microphone is used for speaking section. Each section has a pre fixed time.

Ans: There is no fixed minimum requirement. Different university/college has different minimum PTE score requirement, so you should check college/university requirements before preparation.

3. VISA FAQ's

Ans: Yes, you can work for up to 20 hours in a week. These 20 hours are divided into 2-3 shifts depending upon you.

Ans: The processing time for a student VISA is about 28 to 50 days but the time period change depending on Immigration. In most cases, applications are finalised in just 25-28 days. However, failure to provide all documents or submitting misleading information will delay the process or even result in VISA refusal.
